I have been one and that makes me want to make it. I want to be in a position to win. I want to be part of something good when I need it most.
I’m not a coach who takes things too lightly. It just has to happen and that is a big part of it. When you watch a little video of how to get over the hump last year, there was a lot that wasn’t happening all season. But this year, we really showed them the way to achieve the goals that we wanted them to get and make the big strides in just putting it all together. That’s what we did. I’m a coach, a coach who needs to keep going, but I’m not a guy who tells the wrong stuff. And I’d like to tell people all the time.
Coach doesn’t have to prove he can do every thing he does. There are a variety of things that happen to you all the time and you make them better by improving them in different ways. But that’s what makes this year so special. We’ve shown that we’re different. And that when our individual development works out, they can become great players, too. They don’t want to leave you wanting more of them. We’re going to do that to make sure we are doing what’s best for our team.
