I think it is pretty simple. When you look back at what happened in my league, at a certain point I was going to lose every game, we were going to lose every last game, my teammates were going to lose every game. We had no money. When you are in that situation, it is really difficult. It is really hard for them. I don’t even know what to do. I think it is the hard part to watch people get lost in this situation.

We have had guys in the past who did something similar, I would say. I can be in the black and white, and you have to put it on a different level. But what we have done has helped me through the past two years. I think it is really, really great to realize the importance of accountability, and I think that has given my career a lot of motivation and perspective and experience. I think it’s so simple.

It is so fun having a coach like Chris Harper at your helm.

That is what it feels like being an accountability coach. You come in and it’s like, ‘Okay, we have to do this and that.’ It is such fun. It is a huge part of me and my future. It helps me to take control and take a little more control of my time. I can give back some of my time, and it doesn’t have to be that kind of. The focus would have been much more on the one night of a crazy game.

Can you elaborate on exactly what was happening last year and how was it affecting you

It was a little more. I was starting to think about the season and how I felt. It was so much better as a result. I felt like I should have taken care of myself more. I was starting to think that I should have done something in my life in my first year and was going to have to get through this. The next couple of years were tough. The only thing I knew I would be doing and that would work, was playing in Chicago. I was going to be in Chicago doing whatever it took to be the best I could be.

I mean, it is so tough to get in this situation for a month. I don’t think I was going to be able to make it past next year. So you have to understand the game plan. There is no time to say thank you or anything. That is what matters. I didn’t feel like my time would be worth it
