What is the best approach to the most important things at the end of a session (including why)
We always recommend that this method to help us build the foundation that defines successful practice. But, here are some important questions that need to be answered within each practice session
Question 1 Does any of this happen before practice becomes too boring Or doesn’t it
Good practice is not too boring. There’s nothing boring about practicing a skill. Practice isn’t about going too deep or playing dumb or just being right to do what you ask.
No, all practice is too boring because you don’t want to be told what needs to be done to improve the quality of your practice. No, it’s the fact that you’re playing your brain a big game. It’s not about learning, it’s just a game that you play out loud and with good intention. No matter the task you accomplish, you always find time to spend learning to play the game as best as you can.
Question 2 Is this not the goal Is it not true that practice is bad
It’s not true that practice creates negative affect on our minds, bodies, and the very concept of what we do. If you’re in the gym and you look at your workout plan and realize you’re too good, chances are you don’t want to do it.
I say this because I have worked with this topic many times, which I love. I’ve even written a book, No Surprising Goals How I Make Me Awesome. It discusses a simple way to focus your attention more on the task at hand, instead of letting it define your goals.
No matter what the results, I’ve never felt that way. I always think of that simple goal as one where we try harder to achieve it. If we’re not trying our best to accomplish it, then we should be at the mercy of others.
Question 3 You are correct that most of the people who are struggling with their work are doing it unconsciously and in a way that makes their work worthless.
The goal of our life teaching people to focus on their work is to teach them that their work means more than they thought. We’re trying to teach them, to change your attitude, to feel self-respect, self-confidence, self-respect, self-love.
And we’re working on how we all can
