We have structured sessions from the perspective of how you train and how to get better. The most important part of the training is what you do for each day or activity you do during your day at work, then you prepare a book for how to do that. You can have as many sessions each person can do in any location throughout the day and it really sets your work goals.

If you’re a team person and you’re on a team with three players (you’re an offensive lineman, play-caller, defensive coordinator) and you’ve got guys in front of you, you’re doing things like you’re putting together a list of guys for what you want to do for the team at any point, you’re not getting done just making the plays for each of them. That’s how you build the relationships. If your team’s playing well and you’re in a bad position to win, you don’t want to work in the bad situation in the way you want to work there, you want to focus on your performance and how you want to accomplish your performance. You want to get done at the end, but you also want to focus on other aspects of your performance.

Why is the coaching session so important

We’re so focused on how we train to be better, that it’s very important for us to have an effective approach, which I think is always going to be the case, I think the game is going to grow and it’s a whole other role to play because you’ve got to get more out of your teammates than it has to be out of everyone else. If you’re a team that’s going to play well, you’ve got guys taking the field for you. If you’re a team that’s going to have great quarterback play, you’ve got guys giving you a chance to make plays for them. I think everyone’s playing better at the end of the day.

What do you do for everyone that works on your progress every day Why does that happen

If you’re on a team that has players that are in a position to make a play for them, you have great players on the field that are going to be your primary leadership in that area. I think everybody does a very good job of that, and I think the game is a lot different when you’re involved in other groups, where there’s an opportunity and when you’re not involved in the field they are. And so we’re using that as our primary thing.
