As the second leg of the MLS Summer League draws closer, we present on-field results to find out about which teams and players have put in a ton of work to make life for themselves this 2015 season.
With four consecutive starts, the Red Bulls have started 12 straight games, giving the Red Bulls an 8-1 overall finish. The club’s goal this season has been to move the ball forward from midfield, which has been an issue for many of the players in those 18 appearances. If that goal is the case, the Red Bulls will play a lot of attacking football, but they are also a dangerous team.
For the first time in five seasons, the Red Bulls are playing a team with a defensive system. They took the 3v1 mentality they’ve seen time and time again in the past and took a new one from the team this time around. With Chris Puyol out for nearly 15 months with a torn ACL and a back strain, the team has a chance to return to the regular season.

On-Field Goals
Three of the red-hot games for the Red Bulls were at Providence Park against the Red Stars. The team started the play in midfield by forcing the defense to defend, then found the back of the net with a pair of free kicks before going back to the ball with a chance to tie the game at 4-4.
On the other side, the team was exposed to a couple of shots at the end of the first half on the PK, though it was clear that it was a matter of time until the end of the third quarter. For those that weren’t involved in the scoring, the team started to struggle down the field.
Off-field Goals
Dennis Nwachuk has done a nice job at playing alongside the back line with the midfielders, but the pair of players have been one-sided to his midfield. He didn’t have a particularly good game this season compared to his first five games.
