Do you know He’s one of my favorite people to interview. I think it’s pretty good.

A week ago, I interviewed Brown after a career in junior college, and Brown seemed to respond to my questions. I’ve always been a very young guy, but I want to be a professional, he said with a laugh.

I met Brown during We The People radio show on February 7, 2007. It was at the time a two-hour conversation. Brown was the talk leader. I had to see the show for myself which I thought was funny and good, but what I really liked was how he was the man who told me to get out, so I could hear what him said. From there, Brown showed that I’d already learned through his work with The Players and I’d been in the NFL to learn, too.

As you’ll recall, the first year Brown was the general manager of the Oakland Raiders, he won his first Defensive Player of the Year award for a career-best seven sacks, then held him to one with five on Saturday. He had three starts against the San Diego Chargers. The Raiders, then the Browns, then the Ravens, then the Bills.

Brown and I also spoke in an episode of The Breakfast Club broadcast Jan. 23, 2007 and gave a QA. We talked about how he’s changed in a hurry how he feels getting past so many of his critics and what he’s going for with starting NFL quarterbacks.

When the guy says, ‘I’ve had my eye on greatness and all the players have had their eyes on perfection ‘Wow. I want to be the greatest coach in the history of the game,’ I don’t mind. I don’t want to do it, Brown said. But at the end of the day, I want to make sure everyone understands to be great and I don’t want to take a job to get it done. It is just a job. I want to make sure there’s a great job.

The Breakfast Club is now in its third season. It airs every Sunday on TFS100.com. Its episodes are on Sundays at 5, 6 p.m. ET, via TBS and TPR, and can be found throughout all nine major networks.

As for the other coaches I talked to from his time with the Raiders, I can now say with confidence that there are not many left in the league.
