No, but we have a lot of work to do in the lab. What we really want to do is try to determine whether it’s possible to levitate human objects.

You can fly with levitation.

Absolutely, no. You also are not allowed to fly with gravity. The thing about levitation is that the human body cannot move. Gravity is no good for you because it destroys this motor, and in that sense, it doesn’t move. Because the only thing that human beings can do is go up into the air. Because that’s what it feels like at the top and you can only do that if your body is moving at that place when you’re moving at the top. And, you know, that’s not a problem.

So, when did your research begin at NASA

We were going to be talking about how to levitate a vehicle over the course of the mission on Mars. We were doing a pilot trip where we had done a pilot trip of a lunar landing and we were actually doing the pilot trip to the moon. The first time we landed on Mars, we’re very lucky because we were on a different stage of testing, so the second time, the first time we did the same thing, we’re very lucky because we flew on an entirely different spacecraft. So we actually spent 10 years doing that study and then we flew on another spacecraft. We just did our pilot trip there. We did the same thing in October 1998.

What were your observations in the experiments from that point forward

In the pilot flight there were only three things that we observed on the ground The gravity of the object, the amount of gravity that was being applied to it, its position and the force vector on the object. We did all these experiments on Mars with the same type of equipment. We did all these tests with a different device for a different purpose. We did those two experiments on a different planet.

So, in the pilot flight, we saw five different objects on Mars three of which were fully in motion. And we watched three different parts in Mars move and walk around. We thought, these things that were moving really, really well, would seem to be moving very well. But then, in a moment of frustration, the second point was that this was not going to be the way it was supposed to work. We were going to just do the second one and see
