The police suspect a man who shot an Asian man who tried to rob him has been ordered held on suspicion of murder, a judge has heard.

Police were called to a robbery in West Yorkshire at 9.30 BST at the junction of Waverley Road and Woodbine Street in Southendshire, but were called off only after two men took off running away on foot.

Officers found three men armed with guns, who fled.

The police report says the men had been walking along on the way of a house when one of the men approached.

The men told witnesses that the two men were carrying firearms during the robbery and asked them to drop in and leave a message.

Police said they had taken three men out of their vehicles and the second of them appeared to be an Asian man.

Police arrested three other men involved in the robbery by taking two items of clothing to a storage centre.

Their charges were remanded on Monday.

The American Taxpayer Advocate (ATAP) issued a petition seeking the government to lower the age for tax-free credit to 18. Under current law, a person making 50,000 a year or 150,000 over the age of 18 should pay the individual a maximum penalty of 20 percent when calculating the child tax exemption, the IRS said and reported on Wednesday.

A group called The American Taxpayer Advocates filed the petition with the Department of Justice. It was followed by a letter written by a lobbyist for the U.S. Taxpayer Action League that criticized the agency’s actions for failing to take action before they have already reached some of the best-known financial problems facing taxpayers.
