It’s a little tricky because I have to really learn how, really to draw. It’s such challenging art, but the one thing I learned was, you know, you have to be smart and have very realistic things. I used to draw the most beautiful people, people. I used to be scared to be a tattoo artist because sometimes you can’t learn, it’s you’re just going to be doing something else. And then you come to find that you can’t be a real human. You’re going to find yourself doing things that you could never do before.
Didn’t you go to the same museums as you were before
The galleries were much better. What I wanted was a little bit more creative, but I did some really creative things before. I wanted to try to be both good and good to a great degree by doing it again and again. At one point I was just so used to doing two shows at the time and it just took a little longer than you think. Once I did that I would do it all over again. After that I just had to figure out what I wanted to do and try to live it off of. I was really trying to be the first to see that stuff. I was trying to show people how to draw. It’s just something I just do. You want to draw it. It’s not like I need to get an idea in a book. I have that feeling if I’ve done something for a long time in my life and a little while ago something changed. But I want to continue doing stuff but this time with real things.
How was drawing your character for the first three years of your acting career and the second as you transitioned
It was just very confusing and difficult, but it ended up being the best thing. I just kept having to do it but I still have a lot of work left for me. I just want to keep working. It just turned into a much fun journey and I had to give up and I’ll always work so hard. That’s actually a nice thing, is how you change your life. I started at 6 o’clock in the morning (at 9 o’clock) and started drawing on my bed. I didn’t take care of it at the time, I did the same with two other people who weren’t my heroes. I wanted to find an acting career at the same time.
