Amber Green, 27, of Lecomte was last seen riding a bicycle around the shore during an early morning commute late in the morning Thursday.
She was a short walk from Erie Beach, where she was staying at the time of her disappearance, a police source said.
Police said the girl could have been walking along the beach because at that point it was too low to keep her safe. She might have had the right shoes and brae but they didn’t allow for the high visibility of the water. Police said she might have been wearing a helmet or a light jacket.
The girl’s family said they’re still seeking any information possible about the girl. The first time Amber Green appeared at Erie County Police headquarters, she was seen walking along Lake Erie, where she is known to frequent.
The victim told investigators that she was biking on a street during her first day of school in Erie on Dec. 12 when she came across the bike.
Her father, Richard Green, said he has no evidence the crime was committed on a rural road.
He said this man was driving erratically and could have been a traffic ticket. He said he didn’t know what he saw.
The young girl was last seen when she didn’t return to her car.
