I had written about this project for some time until it disappeared from most people’s minds. We talked about it for hours on end as I read all the posts on that forum.

Today, I’m going to take a look at my favorite game in the world to find out why.

Hierarchical Design

A game designed by a single programmer… a game designed…

is not meant to be polished to perfection, but rather is meant to be mastered and then developed. The Architect

This is basically exactly the idea behind the game in which you build your own world and then work with those around you to become the first to do the very first things that change what we do over time. And it’s a game I really have no intention of playing.

I do think that there’s value in making something that is not only unique, but actually more powerful. The first version of Hierarchical Design can probably be considered a game to which all the world is interconnected by an infinite number of doors the world I built or even the land I took on my sail or the water I broke off from the sea or whatever. It’s also, as often seems to me, a game I simply have to learn to enjoy.

I know, I know.

Why is that

Let me first present Hierarchical Design’s premise. Let me say that, if you’ve ever lived in New York, you’ve probably felt the influence of the toxic water game from the 1920s.

I just don’t think so. I mean, let’s say our main protagonist was a little drunk and he’s at town and you try to tell him what’s going on with his life. How will he get over it What do you do In a matter of minutes, he’ll take to the water and drown. Then, as he runs across the shoreline and finds himself on one side of the river without a paddle, he’ll take to the water and swim and fight the tide and eventually escape, and I think that’s a fantastic story.

But, you know, I have to ask do we really need a game like this or one just like this

No.

Now, let’s take a closer look at what you might want to have done to get over this and what not.

In the first part, let me say
