Make your post your own.
We’ve come a long way since our last update so today’s post will focus primarily on a few notable improvements that have been made to the current client. In this particular case I didn’t find a lot of changes that have been made for this build in the following areas
Bug Fixes
The bug reporting feature was discontinued. If you are a game developer, I highly recommend updating your own bug tracker. You can check out our current development build page for more info.
The main feature of Bug Fixes is to keep track of bugs that need fix and we often need to re-start the client again to address this issue. We’ve now received feedback that we have been implementing this and we hope to have it on-site as soon as possible.
New Features
We plan to implement some interesting new features over the next few days as we finish the building out of the main game. Most notably we plan on using OpenCV and OpenData to allow us to work with our graphics hardware to run our development game. OpenCV also allowed us to use the Windows DirectX API to run our project and add support to our other OpenGL components. We will be getting more and more into this functionality in the next development build as we move into the Windows Update, so keep reading to stay updated. We have some major enhancements to be made in the main game (and some minor ones for testing) to ensure we get a consistent experience.
For those of you who have not been following with respect to changes made to the main game, we do believe that these changes will be of more relevance as you move into production. These changes will provide for a smoother experience for us in building these assets and hopefully bring some better features as well.
The game engine
We will introduce a new driver and build-in for OpenCV for the game engine to make it so that OpenCV interprets your images for you and makes your system perform like it was designed for. OpenCV will allow us to easily work with OpenData and its associated data structures and will allow us to make some useful changes as we iterate into the new release of the game.
The other important changes made in the main game are our ability to start a new game by pressing ENTER while you are in the middle of a level. This also is a minor improvement.
OpenData will now accept OpenCV files as standard libraries even if a file does not exist, as they are a subset of
