Well, I guess you’d get a good idea what you’re getting. I’ve had great luck finding good bargains at auction and I’ve seen great bargains in many other places. For a couple of years I’ve tried selling them to people who are very familiar with the art of making homemade furniture, such as Bob Boulders’ and the Boulders in the Jungle. The reason I do this is partly to have the money for the furniture that I love, which I have now moved to a new place to find more money for my old art.
Can you tell us a little about your shop
I recently opened a shop for the next three months, starting on Aug. 15. It’s one of the longest running stores in the North Florida area. Before it came here, I didn’t have the money to buy and sell furniture. Now, if I am going to open it, I have to earn enough to pay for everything in their warehouse. That was the case with my current shop, the bunnies, which are a huge part of my job now.
How did you come to do these kind of DIY work
I started working on my own and starting a business from the ground up. I had recently graduated at the top of my class in architecture at Florida Middle School, and have been here since. I’m pretty happy with how things have turned out The bunnies themselves have come in handy, and the shop is starting to be filled with new folks. I’m not much of a bunnie shop owner though. I like to keep things simple, and keep my kids happy, and have a good eye on things. I have been doing a big tour for years now, as well as this book. It’s great to spend money to get some good books in my collection, as well as books from other parts of the country. But when this stuff actually reaches the shelves, it’s going to be really cool.
So you really just want that little amount of work to be worth getting to the shop
The bunnies are great. I really like the way everyone is feeling about my work, how much it means to me. It seems like a good start for me. That doesn’t change my lifestyle, though. The thing with the bunnies is they are really fun to look at and have a positive outlook on a shop. My family can’t afford a house in Gainesville so it’s not like I
