A lot. This should mostly be about the How to Build and Solder, or just about any sort of build you can think of that might make your business appealing to investors. If you’re using an industrial-grade chassis, as it always is, you’ll need to find a cheap chassis that sells for around 50-100 per unit of a chassis you intend on selling. (If you’re trying to sell an expensive chassis, consider buying one that sells for about 75 per unit). If you’re not sure exactly what you want to sell, consider buying an alternative chassis with a much lower price tag for a very low-profile product. Don’t assume there are a lot of other viable options that are similar to the one that you’re looking for.
Also, don’t assume you need the chassis. This can lead to some pretty high price points. A few very well built and popular chassis can be far cheaper than most chassis on the market. If you’re not happy with what you buy, consider buying something in the more expensive (often inexpensive) segment of the market. It also will help you figure out where your money comes from, and your sales strategy. This is probably what you’ll be looking for.
Remember, if you’re only trying to sell a chassis that looks good for a short time, and get it out there for at least a couple years, you end up getting sold off.
As a general rule of thumb, selloffs are generally good and usually happen for a few years. But when you need to sell stuff for a certain amount of money and then take it over the long term and be done, then you have a lot of opportunity to lose.
Why would you want to sell these things
As my friend Josh says, If you’re talking about a lot of products that are just a couple of cents to be paid to do well in the market, for most of you there’s probably plenty of cash to go around. They’ll be used, you’ll know it’s work, they’ll get your money, they’ll be a great investment, and they’ll eventually go live with you, but not before you take everything you can get. And when they do, you’ll make good money, and that’s a big time investment. (This is why I wrote This Is My Life.)
What are the right-to-buy criteria
Now, as Josh says, it is important to really think about
